CCG FOI 689 – Patient Paticipation Group Information

Responded to: 24th October 2016

1 How many individual GP practices are there in your CCG?  45

2 How many of them have an active (meets regularly; feeds back to the practice regularly) patient participation group (PPG) with a named chair? NHS Stockport CCG  does not hold this information. You may wish to contact each GP Practice individually. Information can be found on NHS Choices website http://www.nhs.uk/Services/Trusts/GPs/DefaultView.aspx?id=89814

3 Who is responsible for checking how well run these PPGs are/how members are appointed/whether membership reflects the diversity of the patient list, etc?

This information can be found on Page 45 of the attached specification –

4 Given that practices were allocated dedicated funds for PPGs up to April 2015, what did those practices that had not set one up by then do with this money? If practices had no PRG, they received no funding
