CCG FOI 683 – Funding to Pennine Care

Please advise me what the annual amount of funding allocated to Pennine Care NHS Trust is for the provision of the mental health RAID (A and E Liaison Service) at Stepping Hill Hospital.

For 2016/17 NHS Stockport CCG provide funding of £476,000 for the Mental health liaison service using the RAID model. 

The service provides support to people with mental health problems in the Emergency department, on Older People wards and people who are frequent attenders to the hospital with alcohol dependency.

Also please provide information about agreements which have been brokered with the providing Trust regarding the following:

-Provision of dedicated Medical Support to the RAID team (ie. Psychiatrist(s)) -Numbers of Nurse Practitioners to be employed -The Clinical Grades of the said nurse practitioners –

-Numbers of Nurse Practitioners to be employed -The Clinical Grades of the said nurse practitioners –

Two Band 5 mental health practitioners, fifteen Band 6 mental health practitioners and two  Band 3 care support workers

Any stipulations regarding the number(s) of practitioners to be working on shift at any one time -Any additional functions the CCG has negotiated with the Trust which will be undertaken by the RAID Team (eg. co-ordination of Section 136 assessments at the hospital; dealing with ‘self-presenters’ to the Psychiatry Department)
