1. Does your organisation have a cyber abuse or cyber trolling/bullying or social media policy – or a related policy such as Bullying and Harassment or Internet Usage – where cyber abuse or cyber bullying is mentioned? if so can I request a copy?
NHS Stockport CCG does not have a specific policy on cyber abuse, however it is covered in a range of our policies:
Our Code of Conduct sets out standards for professionalism and inclusivity. It states that employees must “always treat any person you come into contact with courteously and with dignity and respect”; must “behave in a positive and non-discriminatory manner in accordance with the Equal Opportunities Policy”; and must not “engage in any form of physical or verbal abuse, threatening behaviour, harassment or bullying during the course of employment/volunteering/provision of services”.
Our Equal Opportunities Policy defines our position on how staff should treat colleagues, patients and members of the public and our specific stance on bullying, harassment and discrimination.
NHS Stockport CCG’s Acceptable Use of IT Policy includes the appropriate use of IT systems and equipment, email and internet use. It clarifies that it is not a right for staff to use CCG IT systems and email accounts for personal use and that CCG accounts / sites / systems cannot be used for any activity that might break the law, have legal or liability implications, limit productivity at work, or contravene other CCG policies including our Code of Conduct.
Our Email policy clarifies that @nhs.net email addresses are a business communication tool and “users are obliged to use this tool in a responsible, effective and lawful manner”.
The CCG’s approach to social media is set out in our Communications Policy
Have any staff at your organisation (names or specific details are not needed) – been disciplined or suspended, or their employment terminated due to anything related to cyber abuse, social media conduct, cyber bullying, internet usage, or bullying and harassment by electronic means?
Over the past 3 years since the CCG was authorised as a new statutory body, there have been no staff disciplinary proceedings or grievances for any reason.
