1.Number of patients who are admitted into acute services with symptoms that ultimately provide them with a Stroke diagnosis.For NHS Stockport CCG patients there were 553 admissions for stroke
2. Number of patients who are admitted into acute services with a Brain Injury diagnosis either through a traumatic or other origination
For NHS Stockport CCG patients, there were 426 admissions with diagnoses which imply a brain injury ( including TIA figures). These included 172 TIA, 153 traumatic brain injury, 56 brain cancer, 42 meningitis, 0 encephalitis, 1 cerebral abscess, 2 anoxic brain injury.
3. Number of patients with a long term neurological condition, Stroke or Brain Injury who are allocated neurological rehabilitation.
For all rehab, community plus inpatient = 311 patients accessed neurological rehabilitation
4. Of those allocated neurological rehabilitation how many access this through an inpatient facility? What is the breakdown between NHS and independent provision?

There have been 4 patients in receipt of non NHS Inpatient Neuro Rehab over the period 1/4/15-31/3/16
All are NHS providers. This does not include Salford NHS foundation Trust data
What is the process that patient referrals for neurological rehabilitation go through to establish their eligibility for an allocation of funding for inpatient neurological rehabilitation? Patients go through a clinical panel for consideration
