Mobile Vaccination Vans Heading for Stockport

Mobile Vaccination Vans Heading for Stockport

Three vaccination vans will be in Stockport this Thursday, 8 July, and Friday, 9 July from 10am – 4pm.

Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccinations will both be available subject to eligibility.

Dr Cath Briggs, Chair of Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), said: “The mobile vaccination vans mean we can get closer to communities so it’s easy for people to walk to a clinic.

“You don’t need an appointment for the vaccination van, just turn up. The clinics are open to anyone eligible aged 18+.  Remember your second vaccination is just as important as the first, so if eight weeks have passed, we invite you to come and get your second dose.”

Councillor Jude Wells, Cabinet Member for Adult Care and Health, Stockport Council, added: “I am overjoyed with the amount of people who are heading out to get their first and second vaccine doses at the various pop-up sites around Stockport.

“I strongly encourage anyone who is yet to receive their first dose or waiting on their second dose, to head down to the mobile vaccination vans and help keep Stockport safe and healthy.”
