The Pop up Covid-19 Vaccination Clinic Is Back

The pop up Covid-19 vaccination clinic organised by NHS Stockport Clinical Group (CCG), supported by Stockport Council, is back at Trinity Methodist Church, 351 Bramhall Lane, Stockport, SK3 8TP. The clinic will run on Thursday, 10 June, and Friday, 11 June, from 10am-4pm. No appointment is required.

The session inside the church will offer first Pfizer vaccinations to anyone aged 25 and over (age subject to change as Government advice changes), health and social care workers, unpaid carers and anyone with underlying health conditions. The site will also be offering first and second dose AstraZeneca vaccinations to those who are 40 and over, or if their first dose was AstraZeneca, subject to eligibility.

Everyone is assessed upon arrival to ensure the vaccination is suitable for them to have. Trained vaccinators and marshals will be on hand to ensure that everyone can get their vaccination quickly and safely.

There is limited parking at the church so please think of local residents and, if you can, consider parking further away and walking into the site to avoid congestion.

Dr Cath Briggs, Chair of NHS Stockport CCG, said “The pop up clinics are proving very popular in Stockport. It makes getting your vaccine so easy since there is no booking required. If you can’t get to a clinic there are a number of community pharmacies offering a vaccination service. You must book a pharmacy appointment online with the National Booking Service or by calling 119.”

Councillor Jude Wells, Cabinet Member for Adult Care and Health, Stockport Council, added: “‘I’m very pleased and excited to see another pop up clinic in Stockport and I strongly encourage any eligible residents who are yet to receive their vaccine to head on down and help us keep Stockport a healthy and safe place to live and work.”

Vaccination appointments are available at other sites across the region, including the Eithad Campus and several community pharmacies in Stockport. These appointments must be booked online at www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination or by calling 119 for free, seven days a week, between 7am and 11pm.
