Don’t worry about getting to The Etihad Campus for your vaccination if you have been offered an appointment there. There are lots of ways to get there even if you do not have your own vehicle or someone who can take you. If you have been offered a vaccination at The Etihad Campus, please book it straight away and see our information below about the site and different ways to get there.
The Mass Vaccination Centre is located inside The Manchester Tennis Centre, Etihad Campus, 9 Sportcity Way, Manchester, M11 3DU. It is open from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week.
Parking is available in Car Park G (Just off Alan Turing Way).
The closest bus from Vaccination Centre is the 53 service connecting Cheetham Hill, Gorton , Rusholme, Old Trafford, Salford Quays and Pendleton. Board and alight the service on Alan Turing Way at Phillips Park, a short walk away from the Vaccination Centre.
The 216 bus is a more frequent service connecting Manchester City Centre. Clayton, Droylsden and Ashton-under-Lyne with the Vaccination Centre. Board and alight the service on Ashton New Road and walk to the Vaccination Centre in around 10 minutes via Alan Turing Way and Forge Lane.
The Etihad Campus Metrolink stop is a two-minute walk from the Vaccination Centre.
Stockport Car Scheme: Part of the Stockport Community Transport Network, it is a local registered charity for Stockport residents who struggle to use public transport. They have volunteers who use their own cars to provide door to door assisted transport. You can contact them on 0161 476 2812, Monday to Friday between 9am and 4:30pm.
Local Taxis: If you cannot use public transport, you can use GMPTE travel vouchers to pay for taxi travel at a reduced rate. Check your phone directory for details of local taxi firms or look online.
Easy-Go CT (Stockport): If you have mobility difficulties or disabilities, Easy Go CT provide community transport. Buses are fitted with tail-lifts, and provide a door to door service. Group bookings are available for community groups in Stockport. All journeys can be booked 3 weeks in advance and GMPTE travel vouchers are accepted.
Ring & Ride: If you have difficulty using public transport, Ring & Ride provide accessible and low cost transport door to door. They can be used for journeys of up to 6 miles in the Greater Manchester area.
If you can’t travel to one of the locations available through nhs.uk or by ringing 119, or there is another reason you can’t book an appointment at one of these locations, you can choose to wait until your local GP services contact you if they haven’t already.
If you would rather do that, you don’t need to do anything now. Just wait for your GP service to contact you.
If you are unable to leave the house to travel to where you are offered an appointment and cannot arrange for someone to help you, your local NHS services will be in contact with you.
