Stockport Has a New Covid-19 Vaccination Site

A new Covid-19 vaccination site has opened in Stockport this week, operated by Scorah Chemists Bramhall.

Brookdale Club and Theatre, Bridge Lane, Bramhall, Stockport, SK7 3AB, will host the vaccination site and it is essential to book an appointment in advance.

People aged 38 and over, health and care workers, unpaid carers and those with underlying health conditions are invited to book their Covid-19 jab. The national vaccine programme, the biggest and fastest in NHS history, continues at pace and further cohorts are expected to be invited in the coming weeks.

If you are eligible, you can book your vaccination appointment online at www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination or by calling 119 for free, seven days a week, between 7am and 11pm.

Dr Cath Briggs, Chair of Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “The vaccination programme in Stockport has been a tremendous success and a key factor in that is the partnership working that has developed to help make a difference to local people. This is another great example of collaboration with the CCG and Scorah Chemists helping to deliver more local vaccinations.

“It is important that we continue to vaccinate as many people as possible in Stockport to ensure that we keep transmission and infection rates low.”

Rishi Bhatia, Superintendent Pharmacist from Scorah Chemist Bramhall, said: “We are delighted to join the vaccination programme in Stockport by offering a local and convenient option to anyone aged 38 to 49 years of age.”
