Pop Up Covid-19 Vaccination Clinic Moves to Trinity Church, Bramhall

Trinity Methodist Church, 351 Bramhall Lane, Stockport, SK3 8TP, is the CCG’s Covid-19 pop up vaccination clinic this week. Supported by Stockport Council, it will take place on Thursday, 29 July and Friday, 30 July, from 10am-4pm. No appointment is required.

Parking is limited in this area, so people are advised to park in the (small) car park attached to the church, or to park off-site and walk in but to avoid parking in the nearby residential cul-de-sac. Buses 378 and 379 have routes that pass the church.

The sessions, which take place inside Trinity, offer first and second doses of Pfizer and Astra Zeneca vaccinations to anyone aged 18 or over.

• Those who are less than 12 weeks (84 days) away from their 18th birthday are also able to attend.
• A second dose can be given if eight weeks (56 days) have passed since the first dose.

Dr Cath Munro, Chair of NHS Stockport CCG, said: “As well as first and second vaccinations for all adults, first vaccinations for young people who are 18 years old, or within 12 weeks of their 18th birthday, are now available at our weekly pop up clinics.

“Everyone who has had their first jab can then complete their vaccination by getting their second one 8 weeks after. Having the two protects you, your family and friends and the wider community because it is much less likely that you will experience serious, or life-threatening, symptoms of Covid if you do get it.”

Councillor Jude Wells, Cabinet Member for Adult Care and Health at Stockport Council, added: “Everyone who has had their vaccination is helping to make Stockport a safer, healthier place for all its residents. And to them – a big thank you.
