The latest vaccination programme for 12-15 year olds who missed out on their Covid vaccinations still has three dates available, with the next session this Saturday, 27 November.

The session on Saturday, 27 November, is expected to be popular with its all-day opening hours from 9.30am to 3.30pm. It will be held at Westmorland Primary School, Brinnington, SK5 8HH.This session will also offer vaccinations to eligible adults.

There are two further sessions, which can also be booked online:

  • Thursday, 9 December, at St Peter’s Church, Hazel Grove, SK7 4EA from 4pm to 8pm.
  • Monday, 13 December, at Life Leisure Houldsworth, Reddish, SK5 7AT from 4pm to 8pm.

Where possible please book in advance, but alternatively you can just walk-in on the day. To make a booking go to: https://forms.stockport.gov.uk/coronavirus-vaccination

The walk-in vaccination centre in the One Stockport Hub in Merseyway also continues to vaccinate eligible 12-15 year olds from 10am to 3pm every Saturday until 18 December, (inclusive). No booking necessary.

Dr Cath Munro, Chair of NHS Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “These additional clinics mean that 12-15 year olds have got more opportunities to get vaccinated against Covid-19. If they have been home-schooled, do distance learning or missed a jab at school owing to sickness or absence, these pop ups are perfect.

“We have to remember that Covid is still here and by getting the vaccination, we protect ourselves, our family and friends from getting seriously ill and reducing the risk of suffering from the effects of Long Covid.”

Councillor Colin Foster, Stockport Council’s Cabinet Member for Children, Family Services & Education, said: “We appreciate that parents, carers and guardians are keen to get their 12-15 year old children vaccinated if they have missed the opportunities arranged in school time and other external sessions.

“These pop ups, held in different areas of Stockport, allow a vital catch up opportunity. We live demanding, busy lives and fitting everything in all the time can be challenging, so these pop up sessions will hopefully give parents and carers the chance to get a must-do ticked off their lists.”
