One Stockport has been devised as a campaign to aid recovery from the Covid-19 crisis. The first phase of One Stockport was launched last month to support the borough’s economic recovery.
Since the pandemic took a hold, people have come together; we have experienced cleaner air and become better acquainted with our local surroundings. We have used digital technology to create more flexible working and we have cycled and walked more leading to healthier lifestyles.
Delivered in partnership with Stockport Council and partners from the voluntary, business, health and education sectors, the joint vision is to work together to build a brighter more sustainable future for everyone and to develop a greater sense of pride in Stockport.
Throughout future phases, One Stockport will evolve, reaching out to the far wider community and where everyone can help shape the future of the borough.
For regular campaign updates and more information on how you can get involved, visit www.onestockport.co.uk, watch the One Stockport campaign video or get in touch by email: getinvolved@onestockport.co.uk
The Council and the CCG have launched a joint survey to find out how COVID-19 has affected our communities – how lives have changed and how local people have felt about moving out of lockdown.
We will use this information to aid our recovery planning to ensure we have listened to our communities whilst building back a better Stockport.
In addition, with the pandemic already making history this year, the Council are also collecting a modern archive and are working together with our communities to collect items to document the year so far.
If you have any photos, objects and stories about your experiences during the pandemic can share them by contacting Stockport2020@stockport.gov.uk and they may be used as part on an online exhibition.
