One Stockport Hub Pop-Up Covid-19 Vaccination Clinic Re-opens

Stockport’s popular town centre walk-in pop-up Covid-19 vaccination clinic at the One Stockport Hub, Merseyway, SK1 1RA, re-opens from today, Wednesday, 6 April, until Saturday, 30 April. It’s open today for anyone aged 12 years and over, no appointment is required.

From midday tomorrow, Thursday, 7 April, the One Stockport Hub will also begin to offer vaccines to 5 to 11-year-old children, without an appointment, so that the whole family can get their vaccines in the same place.

The clinic will be open four days per week, from 9.30am to 5pm, Wednesday to Friday, and 9.30am to 3.30pm on Saturdays. Please note that it will be closed on Good Friday.

Those aged 75+, or 12+ with a weakened immune system, can get their Spring booster here if around six months have passed since their first booster.

It’s also not too late for those who haven’t had their first, second, or booster jabs to come forward. An experienced and friendly vaccination team will be on hand to answer any questions you might have about the vaccine.

Several walk-in pop up clinics are also available across Stockport offering vaccinations to anyone 12+ and eligible. Confirmed clinics are:

For those who can’t attend one of these pop up clinics, find the nearest walk-in centre or book an appointment at www.nhs.uk/covid-booster or by calling 119 free of charge.

Local pharmacies across Stockport are also offering vaccinations, bookable via the National Booking Service: www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination. This includes the clinic run by Scorah Chemists at Trinity Methodist Church, 351 Bramhall Lane, Bramhall, SK3 8TP, on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, 9am–6pm.

“The best protection against serious illness or hospitalisation from Covid-19 is to get vaccinated, so I urge anyone who needs a first, second, booster or Spring booster to come forward, take advantage of this latest local offer and get theirs. Don’t delay, get protected now.”

Jennifer Connolly, Stockport’s Director of Public Health, added: “Whilst we are moving forward on this journey of living with Covid-19, the rates are still very high in Stockport.

“The best thing you can do to protect yourself is to get a Covid-19 vaccination, especially the Spring booster if you are in one of the vulnerable eligible cohorts, as immunity derived from vaccination declines over time. As well as the One Stockport Hub, there are lots of other choices across the borough, including bookable appointments and at walk-in pop-up clinics.”
