More vaccination choices launched across Stockport

If you haven’t had your latest COVID vaccine yet then make the most of Stockport’s new and revised offer at pop up clinics in the community as health experts have introduced more choice on where to get your next dose.

New walk-in clinics are being provided at:

• The One Stockport Hub in Mersey Square, SK1 1RA: Thursday, 27 January until Saturday, 29 January, 10am until 3pm.
• Trinity Methodist Church, 351 Bramhall Lane, Bramhall SK3 8TP: seven days a week from 8am until 6pm.
• Lancashire Hill Community Centre, Penny Lane, SK5 7RP: Wednesday, 26 January, 10am until 3pm.
• Lancashire Hill Learner Lounge, Stonemill Terrace, SK5 7RL: Thursday, 27 January, 2pm until 4pm.
• The Olive Café, 88-90 Castle St, Edgeley, SK3 9AL: Thursday 27 January, 10am until 12pm.

If you haven’t had your first, second or booster vaccination and are eligible then make the most of Stockport’s increased walk-in vaccination offer this week.

All sites offer first, second or booster vaccinations to all those who are 12+ and eligible. Full opening times here.

Young people aged 16 and 17 are reminded they can now come forward and get a COVID-19 booster vaccination, as long as 12 weeks have passed since the second vaccination and pregnant women are urged to make sure they are fully vaccinated to protect themselves and their baby against COVID-19.

Dr Cath Munro, Chair of NHS Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), said: “There’s no excuse not to be protected against COVID-19. Rates continue to be high across Stockport and we urge anyone who is eligible who hasn’t had their latest dose to do so now.

“We are continuing to make it as convenient as possible to get vaccinated and reallocated resource to meet community need, so please make the most of the options available to you and encourage your family, friends and colleagues to do so too.”

Councillor Jude Wells, Stockport Council’s Cabinet Member for Adult care & Health, said: “It’s great that we’re bringing the vaccination offer in Stockport right to the heart of the community. It’s never too late to get a first, second or booster dose, so get down to the pop up clinics to do your bit to keep yourself and your community safe and well.”
