NHS Stockport CCG is recruiting a lay member for Lived Experience and Public Involvement for its Governing Body.
This exciting role, which requires a 3 days a month commitment, will work to shape our public involvement and engagement with staff, GP members and partners across Stockport’s health and care system.
Public involvement can, and should, be daring. In the right hands the way in which we involve our local communities and residents can be a powerful tool for change.
We want to ensure that we leave no stone unturned in our ambition to really engage and empower our communities. The CCG need great involvement champions who have a vice-like grip on ensuring that patients, communities and individuals remain at the heart of ‘what we do’ and will help to transform how we do it.
NHS Stockport CCG wants to work with local people who can help us shape the future of health and care in Stockport with our communities. As a member of our Governing Body the lay member will act with integrity, working in an open, agile and collaborative way.
They will bring their lived experience and enquiring mind to the organisation and will not be afraid to challenge the ‘norms’ in health and care or approaches to public involvement.
The right person will help us to engage with people, communities, groups and local organisations to help deliver our vision for a healthier future.
