CQC Report – Stockport NHS Foundation Trust

Stockport NHS Foundation Trust has been rated as ‘requires improvement’ by the Care Quality Commission.

The Trust has welcomed the report from the national inspectors responsible for regulating health and social care services in England.

The report shows that the care provided to patients across Stockport, the High Peak and surrounding areas is both caring and well-led.

Helen Thomson, Interim Chief Executive of Stockport NHS Foundation Trust reacted to the report; “Whilst we were expecting the overall rating to remain the same, we have been able to show significant improvements in12 areas, including community and acute services.”

“However we are on a journey of improvement and the Care Quality Commission report shows us areas for further attention. I am confident we have a clear plan in place to address those issues and move us towards a ‘good’ rating in the coming year.”
