Advice is only a phone call away if you need medical help on Bank Holiday, Monday, 30 August.
GP practices in Stockport will be closed, so if you have a medical need call NHS 111 and you will be directed to the most appropriate service to use. It’s free to call and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 111 online first can also help if you have a medical problem and you don’t know what to do. Visit 111.nhs.uk – https://111.nhs.uk/

If your condition is serious or a life-threatening emergency, call 999 immediately or go to your nearest emergency department.
A number of Stockport pharmacies will be open and you can see the list on the Greater Manchester Local Pharmaceutical Committee’s website: https://psnc.org.uk/greater-manchester-lpc/our-news/august-bank-holiday-opening-hours-2021/
Dr Cath Munro, Chair of Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “Calling NHS 111 is the quickest way to get medical advice over the Bank Holiday weekend. You will be offered advice and directed to the best place to get the help you need, which might include directing you to a pharmacy or self-help information.
“Save 111 under contacts in your phone, so you can get to it quickly whenever you need it. If you have an elderly relative or neighbour, write the number where they can see it.”
