Christmas Day Mental Health Safe Space
Stockport User Friendly Fellowship (STUFF) will be opening the doors at Disability Stockport on Christmas Day to provide support for people struggling with mental health a safe space to access on what can be a difficult day,so that no-one should have to face that day alone.
The Centre is can be found at 23 High Street, Stockport SK1 1EG and will be open between 11am to 3pm on Christmas Day. g
The space gives people the opportunity to access support around like-minded people who may be finding the extra pressures of the day a little overwhelming.
STUFF is run entirely by people with lived experience of mental illness and well-being. The charity is being partnered this year by Aldi who are providing refreshments, alongside Tesco who are Disability Stockport’s charity partner and will also provide refreshments on the day also.
The best gift we can give to each other is time. Anyone who visits the centre will be assured of a warm welcome in a safe environment where they can have a hot cup of tea and a light buffet.
