Bank Holiday Monday Vaccinations Available at Pop Up Clinic

Anyone aged 16 or over can get their Covid vaccination at a walk-in pop up clinic on Bank Holiday Monday, 30 August, between 10am and 2pm, or on the following day, Tuesday, 31 August, between 10am and 4pm. No bookings are necessary.

The pop ups will offer first and second Pfizer and Oxford AstraZeneca vaccinations to eligible adults over 18 and provide Pfizer jabs to our 16 – 17 year olds. Second doses can be given if eight weeks (56 days) have passed since receiving the first dose.

The pop ups will be held at Trinity Methodist Church, Trinity Gardens, 351 Bramhall Lane, SK3 8TP. Parking is limited, so drivers are asked to use the on-site car park at Trinity Church or to park responsibly in the surrounding residential roads. Alternatively, Davenport Station is about a 10 minute walk away.

Stockport also has a number of community pharmacies offering walk in and bookable appointments. To view the full range of options in Stockport, and how to book, visit www.stockportccg.nhs.uk/news/covid-19-vaccination-options/

Dr Cath Munro, Chair of NHS Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “If people don’t have plans on the Bank Holiday Monday, now’s a good time to get their first or second vaccinations, so we all stay on-track to protect ourselves, our family and friends and wider community.

“The pop ups are for anyone who is eligible for a vaccination, aged 16 or over. It doesn’t matter if people are coming for the first time, or whether they are completing their vaccination with their second jabs.”

Councillor Jude Wells, Cabinet Member for Adult Care and Health at Stockport Council, said: “Let’s keep going! It would be great if we can see more first-timers at our pop ups, and people completing their vaccination course by getting their second jabs, and more 16-17 year olds for the Pfizer jab. It’s so easy to do – people walk straight in without having to book at a time that suits them.”
