Stepping Hill A&E is extremely busy

The Accident and Emergency Department at Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport is extremely busy following the Easter weekend, with some patients experiencing long waits.

We would urge people to carefully consider whether they need to attend A&E or if alternatives would be more appropriate.

Many people who attend A&E could have received advice from their GP, pharmacist or 111. Please remember the department is for those people who are seriously ill or injured.
