At the beginning of July 2020 the Home Oxygen Provider in the North West changed from Air Liquide to Baywater Health Limited.
NHS Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group made the decision that from 2nd July 2012 home oxygen could only be prescribed by specialist prescribers.
What this means for GP practices is that there is no longer a requirement for GPs to complete Home Oxygen Order Forms (HOOFs). Instead any patient who a GP considers would clinically benefit from home oxygen should be referred to Stockport’s Home Oxygen Assessment and Review service OASiS.
