Target Audience/Eligibility Criteria

This virtual session is suitable for Nurse Practitioners and Practice Nurses.

Course Content

This course will include:

• Infection Prevention & Control and best practice in General Practice
• Standard infection control precautions – any current issues or recent learning/updates
• Management and monitoring of health care associated infections and antimicrobial stewardship (C diff, MRSA, E. Coli blood stream infection)
• Sepsis:
  • Overview
  • Recognition
  • Monitoring
  • Managing the deteriorating patient
