Redactions in Health & Social Care Records

Target Audience/Eligibility Criteria:

This three-hour session is suitable for Healthcare Professionals (including GPs), Practice Managers, Receptionists and Administrators

Course Aim:

This course aims to help practices understand how to redact from health care records and deal with Subject Access Requests from patients

Course Content:

The session will cover:

  • Different records from other provides/organisations in your Clinical Record system EMIS/Systm1 e.g., health visitors/school nursing
  • What third party data/information am I removing (Redaction)
  • What is serious harm/injury and how is this determined
  • What are other considerations should be given to exempted information

This session will be carried out via a video conferencing platform, delegates will need a computer or smart phone to join, where possible they are encouraged to use a web camera to fully participate. All joining details will be available before the session.
