Supporting People to Self Care – Free Training for HCPs in Stockport General Practice
The course aims to increase understanding of best practice in person centred approaches and how these can be used in primary care to enable people to self-manage long term conditions. It will help you identify what you can stop doing and highlight how to have better conversations and relationships with your patients leading to reduced pressure and a more enjoyable work role. The session will also outline Stockport’s approach to self- care and key services.
We are delighted to advise that we have secured the time of Dr Ollie Hart, Sheffield GP Partner in a large inner city practice, Clinical Lead for Personal Centred Care, Lead for Physical Activity for NHS Sheffield and Director of Peak Health Coaching to deliver training sessions on supporting people to self-care.
The three hour sessions are free of charge for those working in Stockport General Practice and they would be particularly useful for all clinically registered health care professionals including GPs, NPs and PNs. They are due to run at Bredbury Hall on Thursday 14th March and you can either attend between 9.30 – 12.30 or 1pm to 4pm. Please book via the Virtual College LMS: https://stockportccg.virtual-college.co.uk/Default.aspx. Enquires can be made via stoccg.learningdevelopment@nhs.net or 07393 798115.
