GP Mobile Working – Accessing patient records on the go

Many clinicians find that being able to access patient records electronically when in patient’s homes or nursing homes allows them to offer improved standards of care as they have access to the most up-to-date information.

Over the past 18 months, Stockport practices have been provided with one or more laptops to support clinicians in accessing patient data whilst outside of the practice. The feedback has been very positive so practices will soon be provided with a dedicated budget and the opportunity to purchase additional equipment such as laptops or tablet devices.
