Target Audience/Eligibility Criteria
This course is suitable for Practice Nurses and Allied Health Practitioners, who are interested in becoming a Non-Medical referrer for Chest X-Rays.
Course Overview
This is a streamlined training programme that can support you to become a Non-Medical referrer. Follow this simple 4 step process to upskill and better support your patients:
- Identify need to become Non-Medical Referrer – Determine the relevance and benefit to current practice and patient cohort
- Identify GP Mentor – Identify local GP mentor who will support learning and contact local Radiology Service Manager for Non-Medical Referrer application form
- Complete E-Learning – The e-learning consists of four easy to access, bite size e-IRMER modules that provide the flexibility to learn at a time convenient for you. Recommended time to complete is 3 hours. The modules can be found at here.
- Submit and start referring – Submit completed application and evidence of e-learning to Radiology Service Manager – learner will then be added to approved Non-Medical Referrer register.
