  • A Nominated Designated Prescribing Practitioner (DPP) who has agreed to supervise and assess the applicants practice and is appropriately experienced and qualified to carry out a supervisory role (the DPP should be actively prescribing in the areas in which the applicant will be training and have appropriate patient-facing clinical and diagnostic skills).
  • Nomination by the employer, who should also confirm their competence to undertake the programme and the clinical need within the applicants’ role to undertake the programme.
  • Support from their employer/DPP for the appropriate number of supervised hours (90 hrs of learning in practice required over the duration of the course – usually 6 months).
