Target Audience/Eligibility Criteria
Practice Nurses and General Practitioners whose role involves administering travel vaccinations or advising on travel health as part of their clinical practice.
Course Aim
The course aims to update health care professionals on:
- Telephone travel consulation
- Risk assessment
- Malaria prophylaxis – what to use and when
- Travel Vaccines
- Travel scenarios
- Vaccines schedules – NHS or Private
- Outbreak reports – hot topics
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course delegates will be able to:
- Perform a through travel health risk assessment
- Understand where to find up to date information and guidelines on travel related topics such as malaria and travel vaccines, outbreaks
- Understand the health promotion aspect of the travel health consultation

This session will be carried out via a video conferencing platform called Microsoft Teams, delegates will need a computer or smart phone to join, where possible they are encouraged to use a web camera to fully participate. All joining details will be available before the session.
