Target Audience/Eligibility Criteria
This e-learning module is suitable for the whole primary care workforce including receptionists, admin staff, health care assistants, nurses and GPs.
Course Aim
Slips, trips and falls are the most common cause of injuries in all workplaces in Great Britain, and can occasionally lead directly to fatal accidents, (for example as a result of serious head injury. This online training aims to help you understand what causes a slip, trip or fall and will give you ideas advice about what you can do to help prevent accidents from happening.. You will also gain an understanding of the primary laws surrounding the topic, and how risk assessments will aid your compliance with these laws.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course delegates will have an understanding of:
- Why it is important to prevent slips, trips and falls and what causes them
- The Law around this area
- How to undertake a risk assessment
- What can be done to prevent slips, trips and falls.
