This course is suitable for Nurse Practitioners and Practice Nurses.

Course Content

This session covers the following:-

  • Prevalence
  • Incidence
  • Risk factors for Prostate Cancer
  • PSA and screening Diagnosis
  • Signs and Symptoms (Staging of Prostate Cancer)
  • Management of all Three Stages of Prostate Cancer
  • Role of Hormone Injections in Treatment – Mode of Action
  • Anti-flare Medication
  • Shared Care (stable Prostate Cancer patients)
  • Practical Demonstration of  a Safe-System Injection with a Jelly Belly
