Target Audience/Eligibility Criteria:
This virtual course is for GPs, Nurse Practitioners and Practice Nurses who are trained to fit coils and have a Letter of Competence for Intrauterine Techniques. Other Health Care Professionals may also benefit from attending this course. Delegates may also choose to attend an Intrauterine Contraception Update & Vasovagal Shock session, however both can also be attended as standalone sessions.
Course Aim:
This course will provide an update for existing IUD Coil fitters and will provide the latest guidance in this area. It will include:
- An update on Intrauterine techniques
- Indication for Kyleena, Mirena and Jaydess
- Extended LARC
- Case discussions
- Insertion tips
Learning Outcomes:
- Be aware of available interventions to ease insertion
- To decide which coil is most suitable and why?
- Receive CPD credit towards recertification for LoC for IUT

This session will be carried out via a video conferencing platform called Microsoft Teams, delegates will need a computer or smart phone to join, where possible they are encouraged to use a web camera to fully participate. All joining details will be available before the session.
