Immunisation & Vaccination Update (including Flu, Chickenpox & Changes to the Immunisation Schedule) for Registered HCPs including GPs, NPs & PNs

Target Audience/Eligibility Criteria

This update session is targeted at GPs, Nurse Practitioners and Practice Nurses whose role involves administering immunisations or advising on vaccinations as part of their clinical practice and can be used to meet their yearly training update requirement.

Course Content

The aim is to update the knowledge and skills of registered health care professionals including GPs, Nurse Practitioners and Practice Nurses who administer flu and pneumococcal vaccinations, this course will also include fluenz, shingles, tetanus & COVID vaccinations and review of Child and Adult programmes & vaccines, management of adverse events, legal aspects and data management.

Learning Objectives

This course will cover:

  • Updated information to implement this year’s flu immunisation programme
  • National and local guidelines related to the flu immunisation programme
  • Review of child and adult programmes and vaccines
  • Chickenpox
  • Changes to the immunisation schedule
  • Management of adverse events
  • Legal aspects
  • Data management

Pre-requisites: Previous completion of the 3-day immunisation & Vaccination training course.

These sessions will be carried out via a video conferencing platform, delegates will need a computer or smart phone to join, where possible they are encouraged to use a web camera to fully participate. All joining details and coaching will be available before the session.
