Immunisation & Vaccination – Flu, Pneumococcal, Tetanus, Shingles & Covid Vaccine Update (incl. Chickenpox & Changes to the Immunisation Schedule) For Non-Registered (incl. APs & HCAs)

Target Audience/Eligibility Criteria

This update session is targeted at Assistant Practitioners  and Health Care Assistants whose role involves administering Flu (including Nasal Flu), Pneumococcal, Tetanus,  Shingles and Covid vaccinations or advising on these vaccinations as part of their clinical practice.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the course delegates will be able to:

  • Utilise the updated information to administer Flu (including Nasal Flu), Pneumococcal Tetanus, Shingles & Covid vaccinations.
  • Implement national and local guidelines related to the Flu Immunisation programme
  • Answer patient’s questions about the vaccines with confidence
  • Management of adverse events
  • Undertake data management
  • Understand legal aspects

Please note, as a prerequisite for delivering the annual influenza programme this update should be taken annually.

These sessions will be carried out via a video conferencing platform, delegates will need a computer or smart phone to join, where possible they are encouraged to use a web camera to fully participate. All joining details and coaching will be available before the session.

Cost

There is no charge to Stockport General Practice to attend this training.

If this is not possible this e-learning can be completed but a face to face update must be undertaken as a minimum every other year.
