Target Audience/Eligibility Criteria
This e-learning course is targeted primarily at healthcare workers in NHS organisations, though the information is applicable to anyone working in the healthcare sector and looks at the duties of both employer and employees.
Course Aim
This course aims to provide learners with; a better understanding of health and safety legislation, an overview of health, safety and security, occupational health, ergonomics and well-being provision, an understanding of a risk assessment process within the Trust and knowledge of incident reporting processes within the Trust. The content includes complying with health and safety regulations, risk assessment and recognising and reporting hazards.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course delegates will have:
- a better understanding of health and safety legislation
- an overview of health, safety and security, occupational health, ergonomics and well-being provision
- an understanding of the risk assessment process within the Trust
- knowledge of incident reporting processes within the Trust
