There is a range of on-line training that has been recommended by the Diabetes Specialist Nurses that is available at no charge to Healthcare Professionals.  Diabetes on the Net provide high-quality diabetes education for healthcare professionals working in the UK.  Their website allows you to register for face-to-face events, access journal content, watch videos and participate in online CPD from leading professional societies.  There are a range of CPD modules available including:

  • Additional e-learning – Diabetes UK has launched a free online training programme aimed at pharmacists and other professionals who do not work in a diabetes specialist area.  This is an introductory course for healthcare professionals who are not specialists in diabetes but want to know more about the condition.  It has been accredited by the Royal College of Nursing. You can attribute everything you learn and the hours you spend completing Diabetes in Healthcare to your continuing professional development.
