Target Audience/Eligibility Criteria
This session is suitable for non-clinical General Practice Staff in Stockport. This session can be booked to run in individual practices.
Course Aim
This course aims to help reduce the preventable deaths from cancer in Stockport. It will turn the big C into the small c by increasing knowledge, awareness and understanding of the cancer world and challenging popular myths and misconceptions.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this training delegates will:
- Understand the importance of early diagnosis, prevention and cancer screening programmes
- Understand cancer risk factors
- Be more confident to talk about cancer
- Share information about screening programmes
- Have an understanding of where to get reliable cancer information and quality resources from
There is an opportunity to become a Practice Cancer Champion after this course.
