General Practice Nurse (GPN) Foundation Programme

Target Audience/Eligibility

This programme is open to NMC Registered Nurses and Nursing Associates who are newly qualified, or new to general practice and wishing to develop their skills and progress their career.

Course Detail

As part of the Primary Care Integrated Development Programme, the GPN Foundation programme aims to develop the fundamental skills you need for practice. The programme will run for fifteen weeks. Topics Include:

  • Asthma
  • COPD
  • Cytology
  • Diabetes
  • Immunisations and Vaccinations
  • New to Travel
  • Spotting the Sick Child
  • Women’s Health
