Stockport College – Live Well, Learn Well (New for September 2025)

Functional Skills qualifications in Maths and English are funded up to Level 2, as part of their ‘Live Well, Learn Well’ Adult Learning courses (new for September 2025). The next courses start in September 2025, assessment and enrolment sessions are being run over the summer at the College Campus, Wellington Road South SK1 3UQ on:

  • Tuesday 24th June, 4pm – 8pm
  • Tuesday 26th August, 11am – 3pm
  • Thursday 28th August, 11am – 3pm
  • Thursday 11th September, 4pm – 7pm

Manchester Adult Education

A Manchester provider of Functional Skills – Manchester Adult Education (MAE) has 8 locations across GM

  • Crumpsall
  • Wythenshawe
  • Moss Side
  • Longsight
  • Newton Heath
  • Blackley
  • Withington
  • Gorton

English – MAE offer classes from Entry Level 3 to Level 2. Many students go on to achieve the Level 2 National qualification recognised by employers and the equivalent to a GCSE grade C or above.

Maths – MAE will work with you to getting to grips with Maths from Entry Level 3 to Level 2. Courses can progress students towards the Level 2 National qualification recognised by employers and the equivalent to a GCSE grade C or above.

The student is to complete an initial assessment and diagnostic prior to enrolment on to gauge what level course is required. Staff members can use the 8 locations for upskilling which are well placed out across GM and provide both Maths and English at each location. Alternatively you can complete an Online Learning Package for Maths and a Blended Learning Package (Online and Tutor Lead).
