Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for Nurses, Nurse Associates and AHPs

Individual Opportunities

The opportunity is available to receive funding for their Continuous Professional Development (CPD).  This is an individual development  fund to equip you with new clinical skills to enhance your care, develop your career and help you to meet your continuing professional registration requirements.   The roles eligible for this are:

  • Advanced Nurse Practitioners
  • Extended Role Practice Nurses
  • Nurse Dispensers
  • Nurse Specialists
  • Nursing Associates
  • Nursing Partners
  • Paramedics
  • Physiotherapists
  • Podiatrists
  • Practice Nurses
  • Therapists

Each individual is entitled to a maximum of £333 in this financial year from this funding. The Primary Care 23/24 CPD allocation has been calculated using the National Workforce Reporting System data, not all returns are completed in full unfortunately, therefore the fund does not cover all those eligible staff in Stockport.  Access to funding must be linked to personal professional requirements as well as system and population health priorities. For clarity, this funding is an investment solely for CPD training and cannot be used for funding backfill.

Some of the key providers are listed below, this list is not exhaustive:
