Clinical Coding for Non-Clinical Coders (e-learning)

Target Audience/Eligibility Criteria

The target audience for this session is staff working in finance/procurement or health informatics as well as clinical staff who requires an insight into clinical coding.

Course Aim

This short e-learning package has been developed to provide an understanding of clinical coding for non-clinical coding staff across finance, health informatics and procurement as well as clinical staff in NHS organisations.

Course Content

This is a 20 minute eLearning package including a short assessment to test delegates understanding, a pass mark is not a requirement for this learning.

The course content includes:

  • Section 1 – What is Clinical Coding?
  • Section 2 – Why we code?
  • Section 3 – How we use clinical coding?
  • Section 4 – Rules, Regulations & Standards
  • Assessment
