Target Audience/Eligibility Criteria
This training is designed for clinical and non-clinical staff that undertake invasive procedures such as minor operations, wound dressing and venepuncture. It is essential that a minimum of one person per practice completes this e-learning, all other such staff would receive cascaded training and internal practice assessment (from the individual who has undertaken the e-learning and received external assessment).

This training is in line with The Health & Social Care Act 2008 Code of practice on the prevention and control of infections that requires staff who undertake procedures, which require skills such as aseptic non-touch technique, are trained and required to demonstrate proficiency before being allowed to undertake these procedures independently. Please note that ANTT is only part of the annual infection prevention audits for practices.

Sarah will come to the practice to assess that member of staff, who can then cascade the learning and undertake an assessment of the other staff as required.

infection prevention audits. - Please see the following flowchart for more information
