Practice Nursing Teams Forum

The next Stockport Practice Nursing Teams Forum taking place on Wednesday 9th July 2025, 12.30 – 2pm (lunch provided), Heaton Moor Medical Centre, 32 Heaton Moor Road SK4 4NX.  This forum will cover:

• GMMMG Asthma Guidelines Update, including:
  • SMART and AIR – What inhalers are licensed
  • Asthma Q&A
• Update on the Stop Smoking Service and resources that are available for anyone living in Stockport or registered with a Stockport GP

The arranged topics will be around 45 minutes – 1 hour in duration. There will also be a 30-minute open door for any Stockport updates, discussion and networking.

These forums are open to any Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Trainee Nurse Practitioners and Healthcare Support Workers employed in a General Practice environment.  We especially would like to welcome Advanced Nurse Practitioners working in General Practice  and APs & HCAs who have not had the opportunity to benefit from the Stockport General Practice Nurses forum before. The aim is to keep our nursing workforce updated with current information and also provide an opportunity to network and share best practice.

Greater Manchester Primary Care – Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) Forum

The Greater Manchester Training Hub will be running Primary Care Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) Forums. These free-to-access forums will be a great way to discuss experiences and share learning, providing a platform for peer group support. The next forums will be taking place on:

Primary Care Diabetes Lunchtime Forum

These forums are facilitated by the Diabetes Team (Diabetes Specialist Nursing Service) and take place (bi-monthly).

Respiratory Interest Group/Forum

GPs and Practice Nurses are welcome to attend.  The next meeting focusing on Basic Physiology & Interpretation of Spirometry will be taking place on Thursday 16th October 2025, 12.30 – 2pm, Alma Lodge Hotel, 149 Buxton Road SK2 6EL.  Please see the further details to follow.
