Their call handlers will go through a telephone assessment, offer your patient a choice of providers based on their clinical need\/personal preference and then book them into an appointment. A healthcare professional can also ring on the patients behalf. The practice does not have to complete a referral letter.<\/p>\n<p>The helpline number is <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>0345 365 0565<\/strong><\/span> and it is open:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday to Friday 8am-9pm<\/li>\n<li>Saturday: 8:30am-6pm<\/li>\n<li>Sunday: 9:30am-2:30pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There is a reduced service on Bank Holidays and the helpline is closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.<\/p>\n<p>Outside of these hours an answer machine will be available giving details of opening times and advice lines for support.<\/p>\n   ","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Patients requesting a termination of pregnancy (TOP) should be provided with the British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS) helpline number.
