It will meet the revalidation requirements to remain on the Minor Surgery Performers List.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Course Aim<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This session aims to provide practitioners who are already on the Minor Surgery List with a training session to update their knowledge and skills around minor skin surgery. It will include performing and being observed undertaking procedural skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Course Content<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This course will include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>A lecture-based session covering suspicious lesions; this will cover the diagnosis &amp; management of precancerous lesions and skin cancer as well diagnostic tips and when to refer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A practical workshop covering:<br>o Curettage, cautery and excision<br>o Different subcutaneous and surface suturing techniques<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Course Duration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 hours 30 minutes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Trainer\/Facilitator<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr Yousaf Khan, Stockport GP and Practice Minor Surgery Lead<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Date\/Time\/Venue<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wednesday 21st January 2026, 1.30 &#8211; 4pm, Pinewood Education Centre, Lecture Theatres B &amp; F10, Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport SK2 7JE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Refreshments Provided<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lunch will be provided before the session &#8211; 1pm &#8211; 1.30<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cost<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This event is for Stockport practices only. It will be partially sponsored. Details of sponsors to be confirmed. The maximum cost per person for this training is \u00a350. This cost could be reduced if we receive a high number of bookings.
