{"id":16829,"date":"2021-09-06T09:02:20","date_gmt":"2021-09-06T08:02:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.stockportccg.nhs.uk\/practicehub\/?page_id=16829"},"modified":"2024-11-28T15:24:48","modified_gmt":"2024-11-28T15:24:48","slug":"contraception-reproduction-and-sexual-health-modules-crash-1","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.stockportpracticehub.co.uk\/practicehub\/contraception-reproduction-and-sexual-health-modules-crash-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Contraception, Reproduction and Sexual Health Modules &#8211; CRASH 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Target Audience\/Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This unit is the theory element designed for any healthcare professional who regularly works with patients providing sexual health services in primary or secondary care e.g. Practice nurses, Gynae nurses, health care professionals working in GUM, midwives, outreach workers etc.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Course Aim<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The overall aim of this module is to enhance your knowledge and understanding to enable you to deliver comprehensive healthcare in relation to the field of contraception, sexual and reproductive health.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Learning Outcomes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On successful completion of this unit students will be able to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Critically analyse the key concepts associated with delivering ethical, safe and effective contraception, reproductive and sexual health care<\/li>\n<li>Critically appraise the legislation and national policies which guide practice<\/li>\n<li>Critically evaluate and demonstrate the application of evidence-based practice within the specific field of practice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Course Duration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This module is delivered over 4-weeks\/sessions using a\u00a0<em>Campus Plus\u00a0<\/em>blended learning approach. This involves timetabled face-to-face campus-based and online sessions.
