This training is aimed at adults with a role to play in the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) system in particular to giving health advice.\u00a0 There are three options and each one is for a different audience.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Course Aim<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Council for Disabled Children have developed an e-learning programme to support health practitioners understand the duties set out in the Children and Families Act and the implications for health practice.<\/p>\n<p>The Children and Families Act introduced\u00a0 changes in how education, health and social care services are organised and delivered for disabled children and young people and those with special educational needs.\u00a0 The course will help you understand the role of good advice in the plan.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Option 1<\/strong>\u00a0is for Health colleagues who:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Are new to the world of SEND<\/li>\n<li>May occasionally give advice for EHCPs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Option 2\u00a0<\/strong>is\u00a0intended for Health colleagues who:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Regularly give advice for EHCPs<\/li>\n<li>Already have a clear understanding of the purpose of an EHCP, from the child or young person\u2019s perspective<\/li>\n<li>Already have a clear understanding of the difference between aspirations, outcomes sought and SMART outcomes<\/li>\n<li>Already have a clear understanding of the holistic nature of outcomes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Option 3<\/strong>\u00a0is\u00a0intended for Health colleagues who:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have a strategic role in the EHCP process<\/li>\n<li>Have a role in quality assurance<\/li>\n<li>Already have a good understanding of aspirations as the golden thread through the plan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Course Duration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Approximately 45-60\u00a0 minutes per module, you can work through at your own pace.
