{"id":12474,"date":"2020-07-06T11:08:56","date_gmt":"2020-07-06T10:08:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.stockportccg.nhs.uk\/practicehub\/?page_id=12474"},"modified":"2024-01-22T14:04:58","modified_gmt":"2024-01-22T14:04:58","slug":"safeguarding-adults-alerter-training-for-gps-e-learning","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.stockportpracticehub.co.uk\/practicehub\/learning-and-development-portfolio\/safeguarding-adults-alerter-training-for-gps-e-learning\/","title":{"rendered":"Safeguarding Adults \u2013 Alerter Training for GPs (e-learning)"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid vc_custom_1585223103967 vc_row-has-fill\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p><strong>Target Audience\/Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Safeguarding Adults Board has agreed a competency framework to ensure that as many staff as possible that may come into contact with vulnerable adults are aware of the signs of abuse and know where to refer any concerns.\u00a0 The Care Quality Commission also recommends awareness training for staff in Safeguarding Adults.\u00a0 It is recommended that all GPs and Dental practitioner staff who have direct contact with vulnerable adults should undertake the KWANGO E-Learning package on <em>Safeguarding Adult<\/em>s.\u00a0 This is classed as level 2 safeguarding adults training.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Course Aim<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This course aims to ensure that they are aware of what would constitute abuse under <em>Stockport Safeguarding Adults Polic<\/em>y.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Learning Outcomes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Upon successful completion of this course delegates will be able to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Explain what constitutes abuse<\/li>\n<li>Describe how to recognise abuse<\/li>\n<li>Describe what to do if you suspect an adult is being abused<\/li>\n<li>Discuss how to reduce the likelihood of abuse<\/li>\n<li>Describe the referral\/alert process<\/li>\n<li>Outline the multi-agency response<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Course Duration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>60 \u2013 90 minutes<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trainer\/Facilitator<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>KWANGO<\/p>\n<p><strong>Date\/Time\/Venue<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>E-learning so this training can be undertaken at any time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Booking Process\/Additional Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Details of how to access this training to be added asap.<\/li>\n<li>There is an interactive taught session on <em>Safeguarding Adults, the Alerter Role<\/em>.
