NHS GM Stockport Locality attaches great importance to the provision of, and access to Continuing Professional Development, Education and Learning for ALL staff working in General Practice. We recognise that in order to provide the best possible quality service to patients, staff have to be equipped with current best practice, knowledge, techniques and skills.<\/p>\n

We are committed to developing the skills and potential of staff in order to meet their professional needs and help them to contribute to NHS GM and their practices objectives of delivering a high quality service. This must be supported by a culture of shared ownership and shared investment in the learning and development of the workforce.<\/p>\n

Staff are encouraged to attend learning opportunities to enable them to undertake their jobs to the highest standards, improve their performance, patient experience and service delivery. Responsibility for identifying development needs and training provision lies jointly with individuals and their managers<\/p>\n
