We are delighted to be working alongside GM Training Hub and Stockport CCG Learning and Development Team, to set up a peer support group for General Practitioners who are either working or living in Stockport and within the first five years since graduating from the GPVTS scheme. LMC, HEE, NHSEI, RCGP as well as\u00a0COVID-19 information for GPs. The\u00a0discussion forum\u00a0provides a safe space for mutual peer support and information sharing amongst GPs at different stages of their career and you can\u00a0share best practice\u00a0or learn from others in our blog.\u00a0 Use this link to access, it&#8217;s free but you do have to register &#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/future.nhs.uk\/GPCS\/grouphome\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GP Career Support Hub &#8211; FutureNHS Collaboration Platform<\/a><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"vc_custom_heading\">GP Partnership Scheme<\/h3>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/generalpracticebulletin.cmail19.com\/t\/d-l-mkundl-jupktddo-y\/\">New to Partnership Payment Scheme<\/a>\u00a0provides an opportunity for eligible health care professionals to become a partner at your GP practice and in return receive up to \u00a320,000 plus a contribution towards on-costs of up to \u00a34,000 (for a full time participant). The funding is available to support establishment as a partner, as well as up to \u00a33,000 in a training fund to develop non-clinical partnership skills. In order to participate in the scheme, applicants will be required to submit an application form and supplementary evidence to us and meet the eligibility criteria.\u00a0 Eligible roles are General Practitioners, Nurses (including Advanced Nurse Practitioners), Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Physiotherapists, Paramedics, Midwifes, Dietitians, Podiatrists, Occupational Therapists, Mental Health Practitioners working in general practice.<\/p>\n<p>The overarching aim of the scheme is to grow the number of partners working in primary care, stabilising the partnership model and helping to increase clinicians\u2019 participation levels so that primary medical care and the patients it serves have access to the workforce they need. The course will motivate you and develop your resilience and leadership skills.\u00a0\u00a0PED is aimed at GPs in the Health Education England (HEE) North West area who have a regular (non-locum) position at a practice be it as a partner or salaried.<\/p>\n<p>PED educational costs are supported by HEE and participants are asked to contribute \u00a3480 towards the course fees and \u00a350.00 per night towards the residential costs (if they are held). Throughout the 2 years you will receive monthly 1 hour mentorship from an experienced GP, connection with a peer network, learning and development podcasts and masterclasses, additional coaching, and portfolio development opportunities all designed to support your transition from a GPST to a GP \u2013 added to all that, there are no essays and no examinations at the end.\u00a0 Further information regarding the Fellowship can be\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmthub.co.uk\/offers\/gp-fellowship\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">found here<\/a><\/p>\n<h5 class=\"vc_custom_heading\">HEE GP Fellowships &#8211; 2022\/23<\/h5>\n<p>Up to 28 post-CCT fellows can be supported by HEE NW this year. This is in\u00a0addition to the fellowships that will be supported by NHS England &amp; NHS\u00a0Improvement and there may be some shared support for both approaches.<br \/>\nThe NHSE\/I model is being coordinated by Training Hubs and details will be\u00a0shared with NW practices in due course.\u00a0 Aims of the HEE Post-CCT Fellowship Programme:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Meet regional and local population health needs by:<br \/>\no Aligning with STP (Sustainability and Transformation Partnership)\/ICS (Integrated Care System) or other locally identified priorities<br \/>\no Contributing to the delivery of high-quality health care<br \/>\no Addressing unequal workforce distribution<br \/>\no Reducing health inequalities<br \/>\n\u2022 Making the GP role more attractive and helping \u201cdeliver the promise\u201d of a varied and stimulating career<br \/>\n\u2022 Contributing to the development of future GP system leaders<\/p>\n<p>Bidding partner organisations should be North West-based health organisations within the health,\u00a0social or voluntary sectors.\u00a0\u00a0Fellows appointed by successful organisations should be within the first five years of achieving\u00a0their CCT, hold a license to practice with the GMC and have full inclusion on the National Medical\u00a0Perfomer List.<\/p>\n<p>GP fellowships should usually include a minimum of four clinical sessions in primary care and two\u00a0sessions of personal development time per week.\u00a0\u00a0An integrated Fellowship offering opportunities to develop across clinical systems will usually\u00a0\u00a0include a minimum of three clinical sessions in primary care, and a minimum of two sessions in\u00a0\u00a0another clinical sphere of work and two sessions of personal development time per week.\u00a0\u00a0Fellowships offering the opportunity to develop a specific area of work such as frailty, mental\u00a0health, dermatology or other clinical or leadership areas will be encouraged.<br \/>\nPersonal development time should be self-directed by the fellow in areas of relevance to their\u00a0fellowship, e.g. quality improvement activities, attendance at courses\/university, time spent\u00a0shadowing or in other organisations, attendance at education events locally such as Post CCT<br \/>\nfellow support, Higher Professional Education (HPE) or Professional Education and Development\u00a0(PED).\u00a0\u00a0Host practices and organisations should consider how the fellows will be mentored and supported\u00a0to get the best from the scheme, for example a named GP or lead who might meet on a regular\u00a0(for example monthly) basis to review progress and provide support.\u00a0 Information can be found here &#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stockportccg.nhs.uk\/practicehub\/assets\/sites\/3\/2020\/07\/HEE-NW-22-23-Post-CCT-Fellowship-Information.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>HEE NW 22-23 Post CCT Fellowship Information<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bids can be submitted to HEE NW using this link &#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/Pages\/ResponsePage.aspx?id=K5Gn_5ewMUGcD9DoB1Wyq8GhgLAaVJpPtc_xM9xpHutUNzRJUkVaUzdMMTZSUDBGUUs1NVpJNjNWSC4u\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>2022\/23 Post-CCT Fellowship Application Form<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n   ","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Additional Useful Resources: &nbsp; GP Training, Education and Support Infographic \u2013 fantastic resource outlining a range of GP resources for all stages of your career.
