Virtual Masterclass Tuesday 25th November - Bookings now Open<\/h3>\n\t

Bookings are now open for the virtual Masterclass running on Tuesday 25th November, 2pm – 4.45 via MS Teams. As you will see in the flyer<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, there are a range of sessions across each ‘track’ which are relevant for different members of the general practice team depending on their individual roles and responsibilities. Please note: The description for the following track 1 sessions have been amended – Managing Chest Pain Safely in Primary Care (Session 1) and Haematology – A Minefield of Options, What to Choose (Session 3), both are covering the same topic as previously advertised but further information has been added about the specific content of the sessions. <\/em><\/strong>To booked please confirm which sessions you are intending to attend – this will be a maximum of three sessions. We will provide access details for all sessions to all delegates. We will also aim to record the sessions for people to access after the event. Supporting Early Cancer Diagnosis Across the Non-Medical Primary Care Team<\/h3>\n\t

This free session taking place on Wednesday 22nd October 2025, 12pm – 4pm at King’s House Conference Centre, King’s House, King’s Church, Sidney Street Manchester M1 7HB, is aimed at non-medical primary care teams including: Nurses, NAs, Pharmacists, Physician Associates, Physiotherapists, APs, HCAs, the wider workforce and other non-GPs in primary care. This event is designed to support our non-medical primary care teams by enhancing their understanding and role in the cancer diagnosis pathway. Through the session delegates will explore: Why early cancer diagnosis is everyone’s business; Identify early signs and symptoms; Screening and patient engagement and much more. 'Why Weight to Talk' Training<\/h3>\n\t

This training programme has been developed by Health Equalities Group (HEG) to support frontline staff in delivering compassionate, strengths-based conversations around healthier weight. Recognising the challenges that practitioners often face in this area, the programme has been co-designed with partners in local authorities, the NHS and the VCFSE sector. HEG are offering online 45 minute Microsoft Teams sessions in a condensed, introductory version that will provide a taster of the full programme and its approach, suitable for all in Primary Care including GPs, Nurses, AHPs, Social Prescribers\/Link Workers, Reception and Administrative staff. Locala Annual Fitter Forum<\/h3>\n\t

Locala will be holding their Annual Fitter Forum on Wednesday 26th November, 1pm – 2pm. This free online event is for implant and IUC fitters – either those already fitting or those interested in doing so in the future. The forum will cover: Update of the use of lidocaine spray for coil insertion; Ways to reduce the environment impact of LARC procedures; Case-based discussions. This will be an interactive session with opportunities for discussion and learning from each other.
